Last World War II veteran in Surkhandarya passes away at 105

Shohimardon Hamroyev, a World War II veteran who lived in the Temirdarvoza neighborhood of the Boysun district in Surkhandarya region, has passed away at the age of 105. He was the last surviving war veteran in the region.
During the war years, Shohimardon ota participated in battles in the territories of Voronezh, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. He fought directly on the front lines to defend the Motherland, rather than serving in the rear.
His loved ones and contemporaries remember him as a man who served his country with loyalty and made duty and responsibility the essence of his life.
After the war, Shohimardon Hamroyev dedicated his life to education. For nearly 40 years, he worked as a Russian language teacher, providing knowledge and upbringing to hundreds of young people.
For his many years of fruitful work, he was awarded the 'Excellence in Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan' badge.
