The victory of Uzbek boxer Bakhodir Jalolov at yesterday's boxing match in Astana, Kazakhstan, has also caused discussion in foreign media. In particular, the Vringe.com portal critically covered the fight.

The headline reads: "Jalolov suffers setback in fight with Shevadzutsky." According to the publication, Bakhodir Jalolov acted uncertainly against his Ukrainian opponent.

Two-time Olympic champion Bakhodir Jalolov (15-0, 14 KOs) from Uzbekistan in the super heavyweight category (over 90.7 kg) acted very uncertainly in his fight against Ukrainian Igor Shevadzutsky (12-3, 10 KOs).

Shevadzutsky occupied the center of the ring, went on the defensive and gradually began to increase the pressure. Jalolov, on the other hand, moved around the ring, fighting with his left hand. He almost did not use the jab, but only pushed his opponent with his hand. The judges also allowed this. The fight was slow, and Jalolov, who was considered the favorite, did not make a good impression on fans and experts. He often ran away, fought, and often resorted to the clinch.

In the third round, Jalolov came to life a little. He used combinations, uppercuts were added to his movements. After a left-handed blow, Shevadzutsky was knocked down. The fight continued. Jalolov tried to end the fight early, but most of his blows did not reach the intended target.

In the fourth round, Shevadzutsky made a good move - he hit his opponent with a right hand. By the sixth round, the events had not changed much. The exhausted outsider was chasing the favorite around the ring, while Bakhodir was trying to defend himself. The athletes often entered the clinch, which made the fight extremely boring. The spectators whistled in disapproval.

In the seventh round, Shevadzutsky came to life again. Jalolov responded by hitting his opponent in the head. Later, Jalolov switched to the “punch-clinch” tactic. In any case, he fought a very slow fight today.

The tenth round. This round also continued according to the usual scenario. Finally, the final bell rang. Fortunately, this fight was not a 12-round fight…

Judges' verdict: 100–89, 97–92, 97–93 — in favor of Jalolov.
