Our U-17 national team defeated Chile and confidently steps toward the World Cup

Uzbekistan’s U-17 national team continues its preparation for the World Cup through a training camp in South America. It is worth noting that within this camp, our young footballers have the opportunity to test themselves in international friendly matches.

On June 11, our team played a friendly match against Chile’s U-17 national team. In a match full of intense and tough battles, our compatriots led by Islombek Ismoilov achieved a minimal victory — 1:0.

The only and decisive goal of the match was scored by Azizbek Erimbetov in the 35th minute. His accurate and powerful strike left the goalkeeper helpless and determined the final score.

This result provided our players with not only moral but also tactical experience. It should be emphasized that such matches are an important stage in preparing for a respectable participation in the World Cup.

Our U-17 team will face Chile once again on June 13. After that, the team will play two friendly matches against Bolivia on June 17 and 19.
