Fluminense beat Inter to reach quarterfinals
In the FIFA Club World Cup round of 16 match, Brazilian side Fluminense defeated Italian club Inter with a score of 2–0.
Herman Cano opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, and Ercules sealed the victory with a second goal in added time (90+3). With this win, Fluminense advanced to the quarterfinals.
Although Inter led in possession (68%), passes (504), and passing accuracy (87%), they failed to convert their advantage into goals. Fluminense made better use of fewer opportunities.
