One of England’s strongest clubs, Manchester City, is discussing its main internal matters ahead of the new season. Head coach Josep Guardiola, in his latest press appearance, spoke about the central defense line and his main requirement for the coming season.
The Spanish specialist particularly emphasized the importance of the Ruben Dias – John Stones duo, who play a key role in the team.
“Of course, they are very important. Both are crucial in strengthening the team’s game. But we do not stop there — Josko Gvardiol, Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake, and the young talent Abduкodir Khusanov are equally necessary for the club. I have great trust in each of them, and their presence is a huge opportunity for us,” Guardiola said.
The famous coach also revealed his main wish before the start of the new season.
“At the start of the season, my only desire is for the team to be healthy. Injuries will, of course, happen, but they must not increase like last season. For me, the most important thing is that the players can take to the field and compete,” stressed the Spanish specialist.
