The final match of the prestigious "CAFA Nations Cup-2025," held in Tashkent and Dushanbe, has concluded.
The good news is that the Uzbekistan national team played against Iran in the historic final and fought with perfect will and dedication. In the 90th minute, the teams did not manage to defeat each other, and the scoreboard was 0:0.
After the match moved to extra time, the players' endurance and strength became crucial. At that moment, the Uzbek team took the initiative on the field and launched dangerous attacks on the opponent's goal.
As a result, in the 119th minute, Hojiakbar Alijonov's accurate shot found the back of the net in the crucial minute. This goal not only decided the fate of the match, but also determined the winner of the entire tournament.
Thus, the Uzbekistan national team won gold medals at the CAFA Nations Cup 2025. The Iranian national team, under head coach Amir Galenoyi, settled for second place.
