Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has recently responded to negative comments about the team's playing style. According to him, the team's results depend more on the players' performance than on the game system.
"It's actually easy to criticize the system because we haven't been able to win in recent matches. Sometimes it seems like we don't have a stable scheme. But in most cases, we play with four defenders on the field," said the English footballer.
Maguire also noted positive changes in the players following the arrival of new head coach Ruben Amorim. "We've been pleased with coach Amorim since he started. Of course, implementing the system is easy, but its effectiveness depends entirely on the players' performance. If you're a high-level player, you can adapt to playing in any style," he added.
Currently, Manchester United is in one of the lowest places in the English Premier League table. The results of the upcoming rounds are of great importance for the team.
