The Uzbekistan U-20 national football team will participate in an international friendly tournament in China in November, according to the press service of the Uzbekistan Football Association. This competition will be an important test for the young players under Ravshan Haydarov's leadership before the Asian Cup.
The matches will take place on November 12, 15, and 18 at the Chengdu Sichuan Stadium. Within the framework of the tournament, the youth team of Uzbekistan will play against the youth teams of Vietnam, China, and the Republic of Korea.
The match between Uzbekistan and Korea will be held not as an official friendly match, but as a training game. This decision was made because both teams were in the same group in the Asian Cup. Therefore, the match is considered an important part of the main preparation process.
The matches against Vietnam and China will be held as official friendly matches. During the competition, the coaches plan to test new candidates in the squad, improve the tactical scheme and team play.
As a reminder, the Uzbekistan U-20 team previously played a friendly match against the Kazakhstan U-21 team and secured a convincing victory. This result showed growth in the team play of young players.
As Ravshan Khaydarov noted, the tournament in China will allow young people to gain international experience and strengthen team cohesion. The coach believes the players are focusing on effectively utilizing pre-AFC Asian Cup time and forming the starting lineup.
Thus, the competitions in China are expected to be a serious test and experimental field for the "White Wolves" before major competitions.
