The 37-year-old world champion is back in football

Former Argentina national team member Papu Gómez will return to professional football. His new team will be Italian Serie B club Padova. According to reports, the 37-year-old midfielder has signed a contract with the team.

At one point, Atalanta's star Gomez was suspended from football for a period of time for violating doping rules. He has not participated in official meetings since November 2023.

As a reminder, Papu Gómez won the 2022 World Cup with Argentina. He also won the Copa América and triumphed in the Europa League with Sevilla.

Now he aims to return to the field and benefit his new team with his experience.
