Uzbek boxers take first place in World Boxing

The international organization World Boxing has published its latest official ranking. According to new data, the Uzbekistan national team has taken first place in the overall world standings, the organization’s press service reported.

The Kazakhstan team ranked second in the standings.

Six Uzbek boxers were recognized as leaders in their respective weight categories: Abdumalik Khalokov (60 kg), Asadkhoja Moydikhojaev (65 kg), Fazliddin Erkinboev (75 kg), Jahongir Ummataliyev (80 kg), Akmaljon Isroilov (85 kg), and Turabek Habibullaev (90 kg).

Among Kazakh athletes, Sanjar Toshkenbay (50 kg), Makhmud Sobirkhon (55 kg), Turakhan Sobirkhon (70 kg), and Aybek Oralbay (+90 kg) lead in their divisions.

Thus, Uzbek boxers lead in 6 out of 10 weight categories, while Kazakh boxers retain leadership in the remaining 4 categories.

World Boxing wrote on its official Instagram page: “Uzbek boxers continue to lead in the main part of the ranking.”
