The Uzbekistan national judo team is heading to the Islamic Games

From November 7-21, the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will host the Islamic Solidarity Games. Representatives of more than 50 countries will take part in this prestigious sports competition. Among them is the Uzbekistan national team.

According to the established program, the judo competitions will be held on November 8-10. On these days, winners and prize-winners in the men's and women's weight categories will be determined. On November 10, mixed team competitions will be organized, in which the national team of Uzbekistan will also take part.

The national team's coaching staff has officially confirmed the squad for the competition. According to it, no more than 12 judokas (7 men and 5 women) from each country can participate.

The men's composition is as follows:

-66 kg: Zamohshari Bekmurodov

-73 kg: Shahram Akhadov

-90 kg: Shahzod Sharipov

+100 kg: Alisher Yusupov

+100 kg: Muzaffarbek Turaboev

The women's composition was formed as follows:

-48 kg: Laziza Khaydarova

-52 kg: Mukhayyo Akhmatova

-57 kg: Shukurjon Aminova

-70 kg: Khurshida Razzokberdiyeva

-78 kg: Marjona Kuchimova

+78 kg: Umida Nigmatova

+78 kg: Irisxon Qurbonboyeva

The team's coaches are Alexey Budolin, Andrey Shturbabin, Rakhim Subkhanov, and Aziz Tashmatov. They will be accompanied by doctor Aziz Kayumov, massage therapist Javlon Khasanov, and psychologist Lola Agzamova.

According to the Judo Federation of Uzbekistan, our athletes are seriously preparing for this competition, and high results are expected from them. The competitions in Riyadh serve as a test ground for the team not only for medals, but also before the upcoming major championships.
