Madrid "Real" goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois commented on Liverpool fans' negative attitude towards defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. In UEFA Champions League group matches, criticism towards Trent had increased.
"Trent did not transfer from Liverpool to a fierce rival like Manchester United. He is now playing for Real.
I would ask the fans to treat him with respect and to be grateful for everything he has done for the club," the Belgian goalkeeper said in an interview with beIN Sports. Trent Alexander-Arnold is a product of the Liverpool academy.
He joined Real in the summer of 2025. The 27-year-old defender signed a six-year contract with the "Royal" club.
