Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that he doesn’t like being this famous. He spoke about it during an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan.
According to Ronaldo, he can no longer go anywhere without being recognized. “Twenty years ago, yes, there were places where people didn’t know me. But now there are no such places,” he said. The footballer also admitted openly: “It’s boring, believe me. I didn’t want to be this famous.”
During the interview, the journalist asked: “If you achieved all kinds of success but had no fame, would you agree to that?” Ronaldo replied: “Of course, 100%. I never wanted to be famous, I only wanted success,” he said.
Ronaldo stated that since childhood he dreamed of achieving great things through football but does not enjoy the excessive fame that came with it. “I knew I would become a star, but I never wanted to be this famous,” said the player.
