Argentina national team and Inter Miami midfielder Rodrigo de Paul shared an interesting story about Lionel Messi's creative and emotional journey to Camp Nou.
De Paul noted that on the eve of his departure for the national team, Messi suddenly addressed him with a soft smile:
"Rodri... we're flying to Barcelona first. I want to see Camp Nou again."
The midfielder initially took it as a joke. However, they traveled from Miami by private plane, and very few people knew about it. Meanwhile, Messi wanted only peace on this trip without any noise, camera, or attention.
The players were accommodated in the hotel opposite the stadium, and Messi stepped onto the balcony, looked at Camp Nou, and calmly commented, "This place... is a piece of me."
De Paul smiled at him and said only:
"Indeed, Leo... there's no better club for you."
The Argentinian footballer revealed the incident in an interview with TyC Sports.
