Norwegian national team striker Erling Haaland has confidently led the race to become the top scorer in the European qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Manchester City player successfully scored 16 goals in eight qualifying matches.
The 25-year-old footballer held a clear advantage in UEFA's scoring rankings. His closest competitors, Memphis Depay from the Netherlands, Marko Arnautović from Austria, and Harry Kane from England, each scored only eight goals, trailing far behind Haaland's tally.
The Norwegian national team will participate in the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 1998. For Erling Haaland, the 2026 World Cup will mark his debut in a major tournament with the national team.
