The World Boxing Organization Cup has entered the decisive stage, and today crucial fights are taking place in the rings. Nine boxers defending the honor of our country reached the final stage, and some of them advanced even further, competing for victory in the spirit of the quarterfinals. A little while ago, the first program battles came to an end, and the results were as follows.
In the -48 kg weight category, Farzona Fozilova entered the ring against Minakshi from India in the decisive match. Sadly, he lost 0:5 and finished the competition in second place. Although the final pressures and the hosts' superiority were felt, Farzona's performance was still highly regarded.
In the -70 kg weight category, Aziza Zokirova faced another host - Arundhati Choudhary. Despite strong resistance, he also lost the opportunity with a score of 0:5. It seemed that experience played a serious role in both boxers.
In the +80 kg weight category, Oltinoy Sotimboyeva fought very narrowly against Nupur from India. According to the final decision, the judges awarded the result 2:3 in favor of the host boxer. Oltinoy's movements, technique, and preparation were at a high level.
But there are also many good news.
In the -50 kg weight category, Asilbek Jalilov confidently fought against the host country's Jadumani Mandengbam, winning 4:1 and claiming the championship title. His bravery in the ring is especially noted by the fans.
Another winner in the -55 kg weight category is Samandar Olimov. He bypassed Bartwal Páván with a clear advantage, 5-0, and emerged as one of the most successful boxers of the competition.
In the final of the -90 kg category, Nusratbek Tokhirov competed against Isaak Okoh from England. Unfortunately, he lost with a score of 0:3. The opponent's strong physical training and experience were the decisive factor.
Now the focus will be on Program 2. Three more leather glove masters are expected to enter the ring, and their results are also expected with great interest.
According to the Boxing Federation of Uzbekistan, today will be another exciting and exciting day for boxing fans.
