The French club "Lyon" concluded the financial year with significant losses. This was reported by the publication L'Équipe.
On November 28, the club released its financial statements for the 2024-2025 financial year. According to the report, the club lost 201.2 million euros, which is 176 million euros more than the previous year.
It should be noted that last summer, "Lyon" was on the verge of relegation to lower divisions due to financial difficulties, which led to leadership changes. Following this, the club's management system was completely reorganized, with reductions in overall salary expenses and investments.
The team retained the right to participate in European competitions by paying a fine. At the same time, the club must ensure that its overall financial deficit does not exceed 60 million euros in order to participate in future tournaments.
