The Uzbekistan Professional Football League (UzPFL) has updated its list of contenders for the "Discovery of the Year" award among the brightest and fastest-growing players of the 2025 Super League season, announcing six candidates. Interestingly, Bukhara forward Javohir Ro'ziyev, who was on the previous list, was not among the candidates this time.
The players who made a great contribution to their teams with their performance, efficiency and stability in the recent past season are:
Abbas Gulyamov ("Navbahor")
29 matches, 10 goals, 2 assists. The player, who played 2280 minutes on the field, became one of the main weapons of the Namangan team in attack.
Nosirjon Abdusalomov (Bunyodkor)
3 goals and 6 assists in 21 games. Total 1247 minutes. The young performer became one of the creators of an important offensive for the "swallows."
Mukhammadrasul Abdumajidov ("Pakhtakor")
22 games, 1957 minutes and 1 assist. As part of the Lions, he was known for his remarkable consistent play.
Jahongir Urozov (Dynamo)
27 games, 2430 minutes and 1 assist. The Samarkand player proved himself reliably in defense throughout the season.
Rustam Turdimurodov (Surkhon)
29 matches, 7 goals and 2 assists. Total 2219 minutes. He became one of Surkhon's most important attacking players.
Nodirbek Abdurazzakov (AGMK)
29 appearances, 6 goals, 2 assists and 1880 minutes. The young attacking player attracted the attention of many with his rapid growth.
The winner of this nomination will be announced soon. One thing is clear - each of these players deserves to be one of the bright discoveries of the Super League. Work during the season, growth, and influence - all of these were important factors for inclusion in this list.
