Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher assessed Florian Wirtz's performance in the match against West Ham. The Reds ended a streak of poor results by defeating West Ham 2-0.
The German star midfielder played for 75 minutes. While he neither scored a goal nor provided an assist, Carragher believes he delivered an excellent performance.
"The match against West Ham was Wirtz's best game for Liverpool," Carragher’s comments were quoted by "The Touchline." Florian Wirtz was signed this summer from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of €125 million.
However, despite the expensive transfer, Wirtz has yet to score a goal or provide an assist in 12 Premier League matches. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
