Bernardo Silva: Accepting De Bruyne's Departure Was Difficult

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has spoken for the first time about how he learned of Kevin De Bruyne's decision to leave the club. The Belgian player departed the "Cityzens" at the end of last season and joined Italy's Napoli as a free agent during the summer.

"Kevin told me about it at the end of that season. It was very difficult because he is my friend.

We played together for eight years, and it wasn't easy to accept his departure from Manchester City. Now, I'm the captain of the team, which is a great honor," Silva said in an interview with DAZN.

Kevin De Bruyne played for Manchester City for ten years. Recently, the 34-year-old midfielder suffered a severe injury and will be unable to assist Napoli for the coming months.
