Mateta could change clubs


Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta is currently ranked third in the English Premier League's top scorer race. The only players to have scored more goals are Igor Thiago from Brentford and Erling Haaland from Manchester City.

According to Transfer News Live, citing a journalist from the *Standard* newspaper, it is highly likely that Mateta will not extend his contract with Crystal Palace. Negotiations that started during the summer ended without any result.

The 28-year-old Mateta is under contract with Crystal Palace until mid-2027. Therefore, the London club, known as "the Eagles," may sell the striker next summer.

Otherwise, there is a risk that they could lose the player for free a year later.
