Crystal Palace central defender Marc Guehi could continue his career at Manchester City, according to a report by Football Insider.
The source indicates that Manchester City is currently the leading contender to sign Guehi. The player's contract with Crystal Palace is set to expire in the summer of next year.
The Manchester club reportedly views him as a replacement for John Stones. Liverpool is also still in the race to acquire Guehi, but Manchester City has shown serious commitment to completing this transfer.
Crystal Palace is reluctant to let the defender leave for free, which is why Manchester City is ready to purchase him for €40 million as early as January. This season, the 25-year-old Guehi has made 22 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing four assists.
