After the draw for the 2026 FIFA World Cup final stage, *Goal* updated its tournament favorites ranking. Spain's national team claimed the top spot in the ranking.
The "La Roja" team has been placed in the same group as Cape Verde, Saudi Arabia, and Uruguay. Interestingly, the Spaniards were eliminated in the Round of 16 during the 2018 and 2022 World Cups after defeats to Russia and Morocco, respectively.
Argentina, the winner of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, secured second place. England ranked third.
In the previous ranking, England held first place. This time, they are grouped with Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.
