Real Madrid to Play Without Three Defenders

Real Madrid finished their match against Celta Vigo (0-2) with only nine players on the field. In the 24th minute, Éder Militão sustained an injury and was substituted by Antonio Rüdiger.

Early in the second half, Real Madrid conceded the first goal, and in the 66th minute, Francisco García was sent off after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession. In the final minutes of the game, Álvaro Carreras was also shown a red card for heated arguments with the referee and left the pitch.

Facing a disadvantage of nine men, Real Madrid conceded a second goal scored by Williot Swedberg almost immediately. Under the management of Xabi Alonso, the team now sits in second place in the La Liga standings with 36 points after 16 matches.
