Vogts: Xabi Alonso Should Remain in His Position

Former Real Madrid player Jonathan Woodgate believes that dismissing Xabi Alonso would not be the right decision. The Spanish coach took charge of the team earlier this summer, but the club's current results do not match his caliber.

"I hope Xabi Alonso continues his work. Hiring a young coach and giving him only six months makes no sense.

Alonso did an excellent job at Bayer. Just give him time," Woodgate was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.
