
In Matchday 16 of France's Ligue 1, an in-form "Rennes" and "Brest" faced off against each other. In the opening minutes of the match, the visiting side took control of possession and soon opened the scoring: in the 13th minute, Mama Balde netted the ball with a precise strike during a counterattack — 0-1.
Midway through the second half, "Rennes" managed to turn the game in its favor within a short span of time. First, Esteban Lepol equalized the score after receiving a pass from Mussa Tamari.
Soon after, "Rennes" capitalized on a defensive error by "Brest," with Tamari finding the back of the net again — 2-1. In the 87th minute, Mohamed Mete sealed the result of the match with a powerful strike from inside the penalty area — 3-1.
Following this victory, "Rennes" climbed to 5th place in the standings with 27 points, while "Brest" remained in 11th position with 19 points.
