Gattuso Considers Lippi as His Coaching Role Model

Italy's national team head coach Gennaro Gattuso has stated that he relies on former coach Marcello Lippi, who led Italy to victory in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, as a guiding example in his career. Gattuso was part of the squad under Lippi's leadership and holds him in high regard.

"I am grateful to him and do not deny that I consider him a role model in my coaching career. If you want to gain players' trust, you must be consistent and genuine," Gattuso said, as quoted by pianetamilan.it.

Marcello Lippi managed Italy's national team from 2004 to 2010, although there was a break in his tenure between 2006 and 2008.
