Serbian Goalkeeper to Guard Sogdiana’s Net

Ahead of the new season, the football club “Sogdiana,” which has set ambitious goals, is actively working on strengthening its squad. The team from Jizzakh has decided to reinforce one of its most crucial areas — the goalkeeping position.
According to the official information from the club, “Sogdiana” has reached a complete agreement with experienced Serbian goalkeeper Nikola Mirkovich. The contract signed between the parties will remain valid until the end of 2026, clearly reflecting the club's long-term plans.
Nikola Mirkovich is considered a seasoned goalkeeper with significant experience in European football. Throughout his career, he has played in the championships of Serbia, Denmark, and Greece, testing himself in various styles and systems. Specifically, he has represented clubs such as “Cukaricki,” “Novi Pazar,” “Metalac,” “Dobanovci,” “Mladost,” Denmark's “SønderjyskE,” Greece’s “Atromitos Athens,” as well as “Rad,” “Spartak,” and “Zvezda Gradacac.”
His most recent club was again Serbia's “Cukaricki,” which further underlines his high skill level. This experience is expected to be highly beneficial for “Sogdiana,” especially in decisive matches, providing the team with confidence.
