Karpin Extends New Year Greetings to Safonov and Fans


The head coach of the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin, extended his New Year greetings to fans. "Congratulations to everyone on the upcoming New Year.

We wish new happiness, new achievements, and send our very best wishes to all. Let 2026 be better than 2025," Karpin said in a video released by the Russian national team's press service.

Additionally, Valery Karpin made a special mention of goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who prepared the traditional "Olivier" salad with him in the video. "May 2026 bring better performances on the field, and may you have more minutes to play," Karpin said.

The Russian national team will hold its next training camp at the end of March.
