Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen has not set himself the goal of leaving the team in pursuit of a World Cup path. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
After losing his place in the starting lineup, the Blaugrana captain’s return to the Germany national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup is also in doubt. Still, ter Stegen is not obsessed with the idea of the upcoming tournament: according to journalist Adria Albets, if there are no attractive offers from clubs matching his level, he is ready to stay at Barcelona even as a backup. So far, no such options have emerged for the 33-year-old.
Ter Stegen returned in December after a back injury he suffered in the summer.
