Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo has temporarily left team training due to issues related to his mental well-being. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
The Uruguayan is said to have struggled with the mental pressure after the Champions League match against Chelsea (0–3). In that game he received a red card, and the club granted Araujo a short break to recover.
Earlier reports suggested the 26-year-old defender could return in early January, but the situation is more complicated than expected. According to Sport, Barcelona are not yet certain Araujo will be able to fully resume training with the team by the planned date. The final decision will be made by the player himself — the club’s management does not want to put pressure on him.
