Arteta concerned about Gyokeres' goal drought

Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta commented on striker Viktor Gyokeres’ lack of productivity in recent matches. The Swedish forward has gone seven consecutive games without scoring from open play, finding the net only once in that span from the penalty spot. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

At a press conference, Arteta did not hide that the situation worries him: “Yes, I’m concerned because we want him to score. In the last game he had a few chances, but the ball didn’t reach him. We have to keep working nonstop — that’s the only way,” he said.

Arsenal will play their next Premier League match on 30 December at home against Aston Villa. Kick-off at the Emirates Stadium is at 01:15 (Tashkent time).
