Khvicha Kvaratskhelia named Georgia’s Footballer of the Year

PSG midfielder Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been named Georgia’s best footballer for 2025. The Paris club’s press service reported this. euro-football.ru reportsreports.

The 24-year-old won the award for the fifth time in his career. Kvaratskhelia had previously been named the best in 2020 and 2021 while playing for Rubin Kazan, and in 2022 and 2023 during his time at Italy’s Napoli.

He has thus matched the record of former AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze: Kaladze was also named Georgia’s Footballer of the Year five times (2001, 2002, 2003, 2006, 2011).

Recall that based on the results of 2024, Georgia’s Player of the Year was goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who is currently playing for Liverpool.
