Safonov returns to PSG training after hand injury

Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov will join PSG’s full squad training session on December 30. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.

According to Le Parisien journalist Adrien Chantagrel, Safonov will start working with the team again from tomorrow after suffering a broken hand in the Intercontinental Cup final against Flamengo. In that match, he stood out by saving four penalties in the shootout. Midfielder Lee Kang-in, who was injured against Flamengo, will also return to training.

Safonov joined PSG from Krasnodar in the summer of 2024 for €20 million. His contract runs until June 30, 2029. This season, the goalkeeper has made 4 appearances for the Parisians, conceded 3 goals, and kept 2 clean sheets.
