In the 18th round of La Liga, Osasuna vs Athletic saw the visitors look slightly better, but the match ended in a draw. This was reported by euro-football.rureports.
The first dangerous chance was created by Jon Moncayola, but the goalkeeper saved his team with a brilliant stop. In the 34th minute, the hosts opened the scoring thanks to a precise direct free-kick from Rubén García — 1:0. Soon after, Gorka Guruzeta failed to take a good opportunity as the keeper pushed the ball out for a corner. Mikel Jauregizar struck from long range, but lacked a bit of accuracy. Another attempt by Guruzeta was also denied by the goalkeeper.
Midway through the second half, Lucas Torró’s shot hit the post and ricocheted out of play. Then in the 72nd minute Athletic had their say: after a pass from Roberto Navarro, Guruzeta scored to level the game — 1:1.
As a result, Athletic are 7th in the league table, while Osasuna share 12th place with several teams.
