Munich’s Bayern are still unable to reach an agreement with centre-back Dayot Upamecano over a new contract. This is reported by euro-football.rureports.
According to Sky Sports, the club’s management and the French player’s agents recently held another meeting, but there was no significant progress in the talks. At today’s press conference, Upamecano also commented on the situation surrounding his current deal.
“I don’t want to go into details. I’m in talks with Bayern. That’s the only thing I can say,” said the French defender.
Upamecano’s current contract with Bayern runs until 30 June 2026. Therefore, he is also entitled to hold free talks with other clubs regarding a summer transfer. This season, the defender has made 21 appearances and scored 1 goal. Transfermarkt values the player at €70 million.
