Alonso says he will wait until Tuesday on Mbappe decision

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso did not rule out Kylian Mbappe featuring in the Spanish Super Cup matches. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

A final decision on the forward will be made in the coming days. The French player missed the La Liga match against Betis (5:1) due to a sprain of the ligaments in his left knee. According to Alonso, the coaching staff want to assess the player’s condition once more before the team flies to Saudi Arabia.

“Mbappe hasn’t been completely ruled out. We’ll wait until Tuesday and decide. We’re still leaving him a chance,” the coach said.

The Spanish Super Cup match Atletico vs Real will take place on January 8. Kick-off is at 00:00 (Tashkent time).
