Guardiola says he won’t recall Akanji and Reis in January

Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola said that despite squad issues, he has no intention of recalling the centre-backs from loan early. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .

Recently, in the match against Chelsea, the Citizens lost two players in central defence: Ruben Dias is out for about a month, while Josko Gvardiol may be unable to play until the end of the season.

Nevertheless, Guardiola stressed that he does not plan to bring Manuel Akanji and Vitor Reis back from loan during the January transfer window. Journalist Fabrizio Romano quoted the coach’s words.

The 30-year-old Swiss defender is currently playing for Inter, while 19-year-old Brazilian Reis is gaining experience at Girona.
