In the Spanish Super Cup final, Barcelona and Real Madrid will face off for the trophy. Ahead of the final, the likely starting lineups are also in the spotlight. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Barcelona’s predicted lineup: Joan Garcia (goalkeeper), Balde, Cubarsi, Eric Garcia, Kounde, de Jong, Pedri, Raphinha Dias, Olmo, Yamal, Ferran Torres.
Real’s predicted lineup: Courtois (goalkeeper), Carreras, Huyssen, Asensio, Valverde, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Vinicius Junior, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Mbappe.
For the Catalans, goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, as well as Andreas Christensen and Gavi, are out injured. At Real, Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy are recovering, while Brahim Diaz is at the Africa Cup of Nations with Morocco.
Kylian Mbappe has recovered from injury and arrived in Saudi Arabia. Even so, his participation in the final is still in doubt, but he could start the match in the starting XI.
At Barcelona, it is hard to expect Ronald Araujo to be on the pitch from the first minutes. It is said the defender has recently been trying to overcome psychological issues.
In the semifinal, Barcelona thrashed Athletic Bilbao 5–0. Real, meanwhile, earned a much tougher win over Atletico in the Madrid derby — 2–1.
The match will take place on January 11 at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium in Jeddah and will kick off at 00:00 (Tashkent time).
