Xabi Alonso says his talk with Perez was brief

In the Spanish Super Cup final, Madrid’s Real lost to Barcelona 2–3. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

After the match, Real’s head coach Xabi Alonso was asked about his conversation with club president Florentino Perez and noted that everything happened very quickly.

“What did Perez say after the game? Nothing... Everything happened very fast,” AS quoted Alonso as saying.

The Spanish Super Cup final was held in Saudi Arabia, where Real lost 2–3 to the Blaugrana.

Alonso was appointed Real head coach in the summer of 2025. The 44-year-old specialist’s contract runs until mid-2028.
