Al Hilal sink Al Nassr and block the road to the title

Cristiano Ronaldo is getting closer and closer to his 1,000th goal, but his Al Nassr are drifting further away from their title dream. Officially, the chances are not gone yet, but the results of the last four rounds have pushed the team well below the leaders. Al Nassr are now 7 points behind Al Hilal, who are extending yet another winning streak. Ronaldo’s team’s three straight defeats (or a four-match winless run) have dealt a heavy blow to their title race. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The outlet “Euro-Football.Ru” gave a subjective assessment of several Al Nassr players after an unsuccessful away match — a 1–3 defeat to Al Hilal.

The match unfolded as follows: in the 42nd minute Ronaldo opened the scoring, but Al Hilal quickly recovered. In the 57th minute Salem Al-Dawsari equalised, in the 81st minute Mohammed Kanno put the hosts ahead, and in the 90th minute Ruben Neves scored the third to seal another miserable night for Al Nassr.

Mohammad Simakan — 3.0. The turning point started with his moment: Malcom beat Simakan, and the defender brought down Filipe, conceding a penalty for Al Nassr. After that, the game swung sharply in the hosts’ favour.

Nawaf Al-Okidi — 3.0. The match became even tougher for Al Nassr’s goalkeeper: he received a red card for a very ill-timed action. In an episode with Ruben Neves, while trying not to give up the ball, he swung his arm — VAR reviewed it and Al-Okidi was sent off. The team played the remaining minutes a man down.

Kingsley Coman — 3.5. There was movement and effort, but not enough end product. A positive is his assist in Ronaldo’s goal, yet the overall numbers are grim: four shots off target, one blocked, lost all ten duels, and failed in dribbles as well. In short, the player who was supposed to apply pressure did not deliver the expected impact.

Cristiano Ronaldo — 4.0. Scored Al Nassr’s only goal: he was in the right place at the right time to finish a teammate’s pass. But beyond that, Ronaldo did not stand out as a leader during the game — his emotions when substituted and on the bench were more memorable. There were few actions to lift the team, and statistically he committed two fouls, while he was fouled once.
