According to Indykaila News, the “Red Devils” are also discussing the option of appointing former Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso. The club’s management turned their attention to the Spanish specialist shortly after he left his position at the Madrid side. However, United’s executives will need to persuade Alonso to come to England and take charge of the team. For now, it is unknown whether the Spanish coach is ready for the job.
As a reminder, on January 12 Real Madrid officially announced that Xabi Alonso had stepped down as head coach. He had been in charge of the “Royal Club” since the summer of 2025.
