Karpin says Zakharyan could return for the match against Celta

Russia national team head coach Valery Karpin said he met with midfielder Arsen Zakharyan. The 22-year-old footballer currently plays for Spain’s Real Sociedad. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to Karpin, he arrived in Madrid and watched the Real Sociedad vs Barcelona match from the stands yesterday. Although Zakharyan did not take the field, the coach managed to speak with the player a day before the game. Karpin noted that Zakharyan could be in the squad for the next match against Celta.

Karpin also plans to watch the Real vs Monaco match in the UEFA Champions League. After that game, he added that he will also meet another national team midfielder, Aleksandr Golovin.
