The Uzbekistan Professional Football League has announced long-awaited news for Uzbek football fans. From now on, the national championship calendar will be created using the most advanced digital technologies, abandoning the outdated Berger system used for many years. In modern football, a simple draw is no longer enough to solve logistics issues and the challenges of a congested schedule. Therefore, the League signed a contract with the well-known company «GotSport», which works with leading leagues worldwide, including South Korea’s K League and Australia’s A-League.
The company’s dedicated algorithms provide the most optimal, human-factor-free options when building the calendar.
2026: special preparation for a historic season
The year 2026 is expected to be a true year of tests and triumphs for Uzbek football. Uzbekistan’s national team participation in the World Cup and the Asian Cup to be held in early 2027 in Saudi Arabia have made the Super League calendar extremely complex.
Therefore, the following key aspects will be taken into account in the new calendar:
- International stage: Favorable conditions will be created for our clubs participating in the AFC Champions League (OCHL).
- Stadium issue: The procedure will be regulated so that teams whose home grounds are not ready start their matches away.
- Distribution of top matches: It will be ensured that major derbies and matches involving last season’s top four do not come one after another.

At the moment, dozens of different calendar versions are being developed together with «GotSport» specialists. Soon, the most optimal projects selected by the working group will be presented to the clubs, and the new season will kick off based on the option preferred by the teams themselves.
