Earlier, Senegal Football Federation president Abdoulaye Fall said there was an opportunity to organize such a match.
According to Glushakov, playing a strong team like Senegal would be very beneficial for Russia: it would be both a good sparring game and a match that tests the team’s real strength. His words were quoted by Sovetsky Sport.
For reference, Senegal recently won the Africa Cup of Nations. In the final, the Sadio Mane-led side beat Morocco 1–0.
