Inter Miami CF has announced on its official website that a friendly match scheduled for the championship round in Puerto Rico has been postponed to February 26th.
The decision was made due to injury to team captain Lionel Messi.
The 38-year-old star apologized to fans in Puerto Rico for the incident.
- Unfortunately, in the last game, I felt discomfort in my muscles. We've been looking forward to meeting you, so we worked with the club to set an alternate date for my appearance in Puerto Rico.
We know how eagerly you are waiting for the game and want to watch Inter Miami live. I hope this will happen soon," Messi said.
The footballer's appeal quickly spread on social media. Many fans highly appreciate Messi's respect and sincere attitude towards his fans.
