In the second half, "Elche" tried to improve the situation, and in the 82nd minute, Andre Silva scored a goal, reducing the deficit. However, the visitors could not equalize before the end of the game.
After this victory, "Villarreal" reached 54 points and solidified their 4th place in the tournament table. "Elche" remains in 17th place with 26 points. The teams will continue their matches in the upcoming rounds.
