Uzbekistan’s national football team will take part in the FIFA Series tournament during its March training camp as preparations continue for the World Cup. Ahead of the upcoming matches, the team is set to reinforce its medical department with experienced international specialists.
One of the key additions is Enrico Castellacci, a well-known expert in sports medicine and orthopedics. He worked for many years as a doctor for Italy’s national team and has built a strong reputation in the field. Castellacci has also served as president of the Italian association of football doctors and vice president of the national association of orthopedic traumatologists in Italy.
Another new member of the staff is Italian physiotherapist Simeone Sigiglio. During his career, he has worked with the clubs "Palermo", "Salernitana" and "Benevento". His arrival is expected to strengthen player recovery and physical support within the national team setup.
The involvement of these specialists shows Uzbekistan’s serious approach to improving medical and performance standards as the team prepares for major international competition.
