Today, March 25, the opening ceremony of the Akbar Juraev Weightlifting Sports School was solemnly held in the Bostanlyk district. This was reported by the NOC press service.
The event was attended by representatives of the sports industry and the public, as well as heads of a number of organizations. They noted that this modern facility, built with the support of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, will play an important role in discovering talented athletes and preparing them for international competitions.
The complex has a spacious training hall, a room for qualified coaches and medical personnel, a comfortable dormitory, a modern dining hall, a small stadium, and other necessary amenities.
Officials expressed hope that this facility was built to ensure the implementation of the President's decree and will serve to produce new stars of Uzbek sports like Akbar Juraev in the future.
According to analysts, the sports school opened in Bostanlyk will become an important step in the development of sports potential not only at the local level, but also at the international level.
