Tensions between the two stars have reached their peak amid speculation about the squad for the tournament and the fight for key roles. According to media reports, the team is even discussing the option of including only one leader in the final list for the World Cup.
The Colombian team played two friendly matches in March as part of its preparations for the World Cup: on March 27, they lost 1-2 to Croatia and on March 30, they lost 1-3 to France. These results have increased the pressure on the team ahead of the main tournament. As is known, the Colombian national team finished third in the South American qualifiers, officially securing their participation in the World Cup finals.
